About parameters

Use the Parameters dialog box to enter values for special parameters defined for Shockwave and Flash movies, ActiveX controls, Netscape Navigator plugins, and Java applets. See the documentation for the object you're using for information on the parameters it requires.

Note: There is no widely accepted standard for identifying data files for ActiveX controls. Consult the documentation for the ActiveX control you're using to find out which parameters to use.

To open the Parameters dialog box:

1 Select an object that can have parameters (such as a Shockwave movie, an ActiveX control, a Navigator plugin, or a Java applet) in the Document window.
2 Open the dialog box by using one of these methods:
Right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Macintosh) the object, and choose Parameters from the context menu.
Open the Property inspector if it isn't already open, expand the Property inspector by clicking the expander arrow in the lower right corner, and click the Parameters button.

To enter a value for a parameter in the Parameters dialog box:

1 Click the plus (+) button.
2 Enter the name of the parameter in the Parameter column.
3 Enter the value of the parameter in the Value column.

To remove parameters:

Select a parameter and press Delete.

To reorder parameters:

Use the up and down arrow buttons.
